Mother (Almost) Got Ran Over By A Dog

Guess what! Gosh, stop being so impatient! I'm getting to it. Get offa my case. Patience is a virtue. Apply it to your pitiful life!

Okay, so my mom (in real life) asked me and May-Mei to get the mail.
We went to the mailbox, and all the while I was telling Maynard to hurry up.
I walked up this hill, and told her to walk the neighborhood with me.
I was just going to get her to walk up the hill, then change my mind and go home.
She agreed, and our trek lasted until we reached the Muses house.
There, their dogs Mutt and Jeff( I don't know their real names, that's just what I call them.) were waiting.
Maynard went to my right, so that I was closest to the dogs.
I yelled, "STAY!!!!!"
She( Maynard/Ixia) thought that the dog was gonna listen.
How wrong was she!!!!!!!!!!
I was planning to kick the dog but instead,
I bolted, while shouting, "Let's go!"
She couldn't keep up, but we were both running for our lives!
Once we finally got the mail, she told me what she was thinking: I just have to stay ahead of the person behind me!
She couldn't keep up with me, and thought she was gonna die.
We finally made it in, breathing normally.
How fun!
I can't believe I put Mother in such danger!
